There's Never Enough Taxes for Rep. Jack McGuire!

Think about all the different ways we're taxed in everyday life:
  • Income Tax
  • Payroll Tax
  • Corporate Income Tax
  • Capital Gains Tax
  • Estate Tax (Death Taxes)
  • Various Sales Taxes on all kind of products (food / beverages)!
  • Utility Taxes: (electricity tax, water taxes, natural gas, telephone (home & cell phone), internet, Cable/Satellite taxes, Garbage Removal)
  • Property Taxes
  • Dog Licenses/taxes
  • Car Gasoline Tax
  • Vehicle Registration/Sales Taxes on Purchases on Cars
  • Liquor Licenses/Liquor Sales Tax
  • Cigarette Tax
  • Monthly Parking Passes at Garages
  • Highway Tolls/I-Pass Fees
  • Excise Tax
  • Duties
  • Other Daily Taxes? (I'm sure we're forgetting some.)
Apparently for Rep. Jack McGuire, he felt that Illinois Citizens of District 86th, Joliet Illinois, weren't taxed enough... So in January of 2011, he voted YES to a 66-67% Tax Increase on every citizen in 86th District and across Illinois, levying the LARGEST TAX INCREASE IN ILLINOIS' HISTORY... For this we should thank him for his service??? I don't think so... We should Vote Jack McGuire Out of Office in 2012.

"The increase means an Illinois resident who now owes $1,000 in state income taxes will pay $1,666 at the new rate. After four years, the rate drops to 4 percent and that same taxpayer will then owe $1,333.
Republicans predict the tax eventually will be made permanent.
"It's a cruel hoax to play on citizens to say this is temporary," said House Minority Leader Tom Cross, R-Oswego."

“[The Illinois Tax Hike] is a surefire way to chase away capital, entrepreneurial activity and jobs,” said Raymond Keating, [Small Business & Entrepreneur] Council chief economist. “It’s astoundingly misguided tax policy. For example, if this package is approved [and it was], Illinois would then have the highest corporate income and corporate gains taxes among the states.”

Thank you Jack McGuire for your "astoundingly misguided" tax policy!!!!
