Jack's Tax Increase YES vote in 2009!

Long before Jack McGuire (D-IL) Dist.86 Joliet, Illinois State Representative voted YES in January 2011, for the largest TAX INCREASE in Illinois HISTORY...

Before that he voted YES for another tax hike back in 2009. YES Jack Loves To Tax! He's the TAX MAN of Dist. 86! Here's the details.

SB 2252, Date 5/31/09 - Prognosis (bill failed passage). Jack McGuire - YES (in favor of tax increase).

SB 2252

"Vote to pass a bill that establishes outlines and benefits for companies designated as “green businesses,” as well as temporarily raising the income tax for individuals and corporations.

For taxable years beginning on or after July 1, 2009 and ending prior to July 1, 2011, increases the rate of tax to (i) 4.5% for individuals, trusts, and estates and (ii) 7.2% for corporations. Provides that, for taxable years beginning after June 30, 2011, the tax rate shall be restored to (i) 3% for individuals, trusts, and estates and (ii) 4.8% for corporations."

VJMO... You see even though the bill failed passage, Jack McGuire was IN FAVOR of this Bill. And, if it did pass, we (the citizens of Illinois) would have experienced a TAX INCREASE (right in the middle of a recession) and ending in June of 2011. And who knows if the Illinois Congress would have increased taxes again in January 2011 (like they just did). We would be swimming in a mountain of taxes! Thank God this bill was shot-down, but not because of Jack McGuire's concern for his constituents (he voted in favor of the tax increase), but because of other Congressmen that voted against this measure!
