Democratic state Reps. Jack McGuire of Joliet and Emily McAsey of Lockport would not return repeated calls from The Herald-News last week seeking comments about their votes on the income tax increase. McGuire voted for it, which he probably didn’t want to talk about.
McAsey did send out a written statement, saying among other things, “I am disappointed that this measure passed and I will continue to work to reduce state spending and restore integrity in government.”
Pulse, for one, doesn’t know how they’d ever restore integrity without her.

VJMO... You see Jack McGuire knows he "raked" Illinois citizens "over the coals" with his HISTORIC tax hike! So he doesn't want to answer the media nor any of his constituents as to why he voted for the outrageous JANUARY 2011 TAX HIKE! This is OUTRAGEOUS behavior from someone is supposed to "Represent" us. He is supposed to talk to his constituents!
Way to hide out, Jack! For this reason and many more, we need to Vote Jack McGuire Out of Office in 2012!
